Gerard Butler partnered up with his buddy Joel Kinnaman for a surfing session in Malibu on Friday.

The 50-year-old Olympus Has Fallen star sported a thick brown beard and shaggy tousled hair as he drove back from the beach in an E-Z-GO golf cart.

Kinnaman, 40, let his wetsuit down below his chest while he rode on the back of the cart with his surfboard.

Butler also had his wetsuit pulled down below his midriff, though he covered up with a white Muchacho T-shirt.

Despite the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and recent spikes in positive tests for COVID-19 in Los Angeles, neither man wore a mask or practiced social distancing.

Butler’s dog joined the two actors on the trip down to the beach, and the 300 star stopped to chat with his neighbor before heading home.

Butler and Kinnaman previously went surfing at the same spot earlier this month.

Despite their friendship, the Phantom Of The Opera star and the Suicide Squad actor have never appeared in a film together.

Absent from their outing was Butler’s longtime on–off girlfriend Morgan Brown, who has been spotted surfing and enjoying walks along the beach with the actor.

Though his career is temporarily on hold while Hollywood is shut down amid the pandemic, Butler has a remarkable number of projects that are in the works or have already completed principal photography.

He’ll star in the thriller Greenland, which is currently schedule for an August 14 release, about the last days on Earth before a giant comet is expected to make impact and destroy all human life.

Butler plays John Garrity, who has to get his family to an underground bunker located in Greenland before the comet hits.

Kinnaman can currently be on the Apple TV+ series For All Mankind.

The series presents an alternate history of NASA in a world where the Soviet Union put a man on the moon before the US.

Next year, he’ll reprise his role from the critically derided superhero film Suicide Squad in its confusingly titled sequel, The Suicide Squad.

The new film, which is written and directed by Guardians Of The Galaxy director James Gunn, ditches many of the first films characters in favor of a new group of villains, though Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn will still be present.
