Sharon Stone, 62, reveals during new podcast she was ‘thrown across the kitchen’ and fell unconscious after being struck by lightning

She is set to release her memoir, The Beauty of Living Twice, later this year. 

And Sharon Stone gave fans a sneak peak of the incredible unknown stories she has to tell, as she revealed she was once struck by lightning. 

The 62-year-old Basic Instinct star made the shocking reveal while joining Brett Goldstein on the Films To Be Buried with podcast, released Thursday.

Stone said she was merely filling an iron with water when lightning struck. ‘Wow! It’s really intense,’ she said. 

‘I was at home. We had our own well,’ the mother of three explained. ‘I was filling the iron with water, and I had one hand on the faucet, one hand on the iron and the well got hit with lightning and the lighting came up through the water.’ 

The power of the surge threw the actress across the kitchen.

Explaining the after-math of the incident, though she did not disclose when it took place, she went on to say that she was unconscious until her mom jumped into action.  

‘My mother was standing there,’ she said. ‘And my mother just belted me across the face and brought me to.

‘I was in such an altered state, like just so, I don’t know how to describe it — so bright, like wow,’ she said adding that her mother Dorothy took her to be looked at by a doctor immediately.

‘She threw me in the car and drove me to hospital,’ Stone said. ‘And the EKG (electrocardiogram) was showing such electricity in my body.’

Though it wasn’t just one trip to the hospital after the incident, she had to be monitored for a week and a half. 

She said: ‘I had to go get EKGs every single day for 10 days.’

It wasn’t the only near-death experience the Emmy winner has experienced.

In 2001 she experienced a stroke that led to nine days of brain hemorrhaging which she hinted at in the interview as she said she has ‘had a lot of things…It’s crazy.’ 

Before the stroke, in her teens, she nearly severed her jugular in a freak accident which she also detailed. 

Saying: ‘I got caught in a clothesline and had my neck cut to a sixteenth of an inch from my jugular vein.’

She broke the news that she wrote a tell-all memoir back in April saying ‘I’ve written a book, it’s out of the end of the year or the beginning of next year.’
