Paris Jackson shows off new tattoo dedicated to her favorite band…after performing original song

Paris Jackson has been dedicating the majority of her time and energy to supporting the Black Lives Matter movement amid nation-wide protests and outrage.

But on Friday, the 22-year-old daughter of Michael Jackson put activism on pause in order pay homage to her favorite rock band in the form of an arm tattoo.

Earlier in the day, Paris wielded a guitar and showed off her impressive vocal range during an acoustic performance of her latest original song on Instagram.

Jackson’s new tattoo was a black ink drawing of a tree and a climber as featured on the cover of rock band Manchester Orchestra’s album A Black Mile To The Surface, which was released in 2017.

Paris made sure to tag Manchester Orchestra in her Instagram Story post as she flaunted the tattoo to her 3.5million followers.

She also had the band’s song The Mistake act as the post’s soundtrack.

The tattoo was placed just above her quirky John Lennon tattoo and right next to her stylistic red ink tattoo.

Just last month, Paris took her tattoo addiction to a whole other level by inking an intricate design above her pinky toe with her own tattoo machine.

Despite tattooing on her foot, which is considered one of the most painful places to get ink, Paris appeared unfazed as she documented the endeavor on her Instagram Story.

For her Friday morning concert, Paris had her brunette hair tied back into a bun and she donned a black hoodie and purple sweatpants.

A tapestry hung on the wall behind her as she effortlessly strummed the strings of her acoustic guitar.

As she belted out her song’s emotional lyrics, her cat Frodo could be heard moving around the litter in his litter box.

‘frodo casually pooping in the background,’ captioned Paris on one clip of her performance.

As the cat continued to sift through the litter, Paris joked: ‘tell me what you really think frodo…jeez.’

She named her kitty after the main character from her favorite book series Lord Of The Rings written by J.R.R. Tolkien.

Paris Jackson has long used her platform to raise awareness for a range of good causes close to her heart.

Most recently, the actress has been strongly promoting the Black Lives Matter movement following the police killing of unarmed black man George Floyd.

During Sunday’s protest, Jackson held up a sign that read: ‘Damn the man. Power to the people. Peace, love, justice.’

She was photographed standing with a group of fellow peaceful protesters who wore face masks and held up signs of their own.

Jackson also attended a protest on May 30 that she posted to her Instagram page.

In her post’s caption to she noted how it ‘broke [her] heart to see it all go up in flamed’ due to the looters and rioters who took advantage of the protest.

‘today started out so beautifully, seeing people come together with peace and harmony in their hearts,’ Paris began.

‘violence is not the answer. how do we expect to bring our world up to a happier and higher and healthier way of living if we’re stooping as low as those that committed the crimes we’re protesting ? peaceful protest only,’ concluded Jackson.

She has also been using her Instagram to provide resources to fellow protesters and speak out on other injustices brought to light by the Black Lives Matter movement.

Paris is the daughter of pop music legend Michael Jackson and his ex wife Debbie Rowe, 61.

Jackson and Rowe also share 23-year-old son Prince. Jackson also has an 18-year-old son Bigi – formerly known as Blanket – that he welcomed to the world via surrogate in 2002.
