Guy Sebastian shares a cryptic post about telling ‘the truth’ amid AVO drama

Guy Sebastian has shared a cryptic social media post just one day after his former manager filed an AVO against him.

In the post, Sebastian shared the quote: ‘Truth is like a surgery. It hurts but cures. Life is like a pain killer. It gives instant relief but has side effects forever. ‘

It’s unclear what Sebastian was referring to with the post, or if it had anything to do with his current situation.

‘Truth is like a surgery’: Guy Sebastian has shared a cryptic social media post just one day after his former manager filed an AVO against him

On Thursday, Daily Mail Australia exclusively obtained what is claimed to be a bizarre voicemail message purportedly left for Sebastian’s estranged agent, Titus Day.

The alleged message is at the heart of an apprehended violence order (AVO) Mr Day is seeking against Sebastian at a Sydney court.

In court documents, Mr Day claims he was left the message by a blocked number about 6.30pm on Wednesday, May 27.

In the message, a menacing voice says: ‘Guy Sebastian wants you f***ed.’ It then sings in a high-pitched voice: ‘They say it’s wrong, they say you are a paedophile’.

The alleged message can be revealed after Daily Mail Australia exclusively obtained Mr Day’s apprehended violence order application to a magistrate.

In it, Mr Day makes extraordinary claims his tyres were let down in suspicious circumstances and that Sebastian had ‘tried to intimidate’ his wife in emails.

Mr Day – who has represented the cream of Sydney’s A-list – appeared in front of Waverley Local Court on Thursday and told Magistrate Ross Hudson the nature of his allegations were ‘intimidation’.

‘There has been physical intimidation, letting down parked tyres on my property and other things,’ he claimed.

Mr Day, 47, asked the court for an order banning Sebastian from approaching him and his wife, as well as standard AVO conditions.

But Magistrate Hudson told Mr Day he had reviewed his application, and refused his request for an interim order, saying: ‘They’re allegations – they’re your suspicions. That’s all I have before me’.

Sebastian’s lawyer, Sophie Callan, told the court that Day’s privately-run AVO case was ‘without foundation’.

Ms Callan said the singing sensation opposes the application and that the case was not appropriate for private mediation. Sebastian did not personally appear at court.

‘Tyres let down’: Extraordinary claims in court documents

In his application, Mr Day claimed to have known Sebastian for 13 years and described him as a former business associate. He then made the following claims.

‘At 6.30pm on 27 May 2020, I received a call from a blocked number saying ‘Guy Sebastian wants you f***ed. They say it’s wrong, they say you are a paedophile’.

Mr Day does not state who made the call, before continuing on.

He claimed: ‘Two weeks ago he sent emails to my wife trying to intimidate her.

‘Three weeks ago someone came on my property and let down my car tyres.

‘His friend Tim Freeburn has made threats to me on text saying he will deal with me.

‘Guy has a violent history that I know about and my family is scared.

‘He knows where I live and my wife is suffering anxiety due to his behaviour.’

In the court paperwork, Mr Day, who runs Six Degrees Management with his wife, said he is locked in a Federal Court battle with Sebastian, and claimed the pop star owes him money.

Sebastian’s lawyer Ms Callan told the court the pair were ‘currently embroiled’ in a Federal Court stoush which was ‘well progressed’ and that the AVO was not suitable for mediation.

Mr Hudson refused to grant Mr Day an interim protective order, saying he could not form a view from the application that a temporary order was ‘necessary or appropriate’.

Magistrate Hudson has set the matter down for a show cause hearing at a later date.

In such a hearing, a protected person must why, on the balance of probabilities, they have reasonable grounds to fear future offending against them.

Mr Day will have to tender material by June 30 and Sebastian’s lawyers by June 21, the court heard. The case continues.

Sebastian’s management was approached for comment, but did not respond.
