Brought bark to life! Two drowned puppies are saved with CPR by builders after they were found in a pool of water on a Thai construction site

This is the heartwarming moment two drowned puppies were revived with CPR by builders after they spotted the mother dog trying to rescue her pups.
The frail pooches were found in small pool of water near a construction site in Trang, southern Thailand last Wednesday after builders spotted the mother pulling a pup from the water.
When the stray dog returned to the edge of the water instead of tending to her wet little one the builders quickly went to inspect the pool – finding two pups already unconscious.
The workers pulled the two pups from the 23-inch deep pool and took them to a shelter where they began gentle chest compressions on both using their fingers.
Footage shows the puppies spluttering back into life after several minutes while their mother waited nearby.
Elated worker Somboon, 42, said that they were ready to bury the puppies when they found them but decided to try CPR first.
Somboon said: ‘We were curious why the mother dog went back to the pool and was sitting beside it instead of nurturing her wet pooch.
‘We went to check at the pool and found that there were another two puppies drowned so we retrieved them and returned to our hut.’
At first the CPR did not look hopeful as the puppies remained motionless, but after a few moments the puppies
The builders admitted they had first thought of burying the puppies before giving CPR a try
The puppies can be seen taking gasps of air as they are revived by the builders after almost drowning
He added: ‘After we brought the mother dog and her puppies to the shelter we thought the newborns were already dead.
‘Then we thought that we should try to give them CPR first and I am glad that we did.’
Somboon’s colleague Somjai, 46, said the little pooches had now been moved to a local area with their mother where they were being taken care of and allowed to roam freely.
He said: ‘I think it’s better for them to be adopted by the locals because our work here is only temporary, so we will leave soon.
‘We were worrying that when we were gone they might have a hard time finding food but we cannot adopt them ourselves.’
