Adam Sandler dons his signature dressed-down style to pick up some takeout … but stays protected in a mask and gloves

Adam Sandler hasn’t let stay-at-home orders stop him from getting some fresh air and safely supporting local businesses.

The comic, 53, stepped out to pick up a big bag of takeaway sushi from a local establishment near his Malibu home on Wednesday.

Sandler has been quarantining in California during the coronavirus pandemic and has been diligent about donning his PPE (personal protective equipment) when he goes out.

Adam sported a face mask that read ‘caution’ on the front in big bold letters and he kept on some disposable gloves while grabbing his order from Bui Sushi.

Known for an ultra-relaxed style, the Uncut Gems star rocked a bright yellow, baggy Los Angeles Rams T-shirt and oversized grey basketball shorts.

The funny man also sported a kitschy pair of tall red socks pulled up his shins that were adorned with photos of his own face.

Even with production mostly shut down due to the COVID-19 crisis, Sandler has still been able to work on planning some new projects for when it’s possible to get back to work.

Last month it was announced he is teaming with LeBron James to co-produce the basketball drama Hustle that’s set to be directed by We The Animals helmer Jeremiah Zagar.

The movie will be the first of four new films Sandler will produce as part of his extended deal with Netflix that he inked back in January.

In Hustle, Sandler will star as a basketball coach who is unjustly fired and ends up abroad where he discovers a talented player.

He brings the foreign player to the US as he seeks to prove that they both belong in the NBA, according to Variety.

It’s unclear when the project will actually go into production.

Sandler extended his partnership with Netflix following the huge success of comedy Murder Mystery and the critical acclaim leveled at Uncut Gems, for which he won an Independent Spirit Award and which premieres later this month on Netflix which co-financed it.

Murder Mystery, in which Sandler starred with Jennifer Aniston, was the streaming service’s most popular movie in 2019.

Sandler first signed a deal with Netflix in 2014 and re-upped that deal in 2017. His Netflix films include The Ridiculous 6, The Do-Over and a stand-up special.

His deal with the streaming network is both in front of and behind the camera.

He serves as producer for the new comedy The Wrong Missy, starring David Spade that is currently streaming. And, Adam’s wife Jackie Sandler, also stars in the funny flick.
