‘They’re untrue’: The Bachelorette’s Carlin Sterritt is forced to deny persistent rumours he’s split with Angie Kent

The Bachelorette‘s Carlin Sterritt has been forced to shut down persistent rumours that he’s split with Angie Kent, who he met on the show last year.

On Tuesday, Carlin’s manager told KIIS FM’s Kyle and Jackie O that the rumours are simply ‘untrue’ and that they are indeed following each other on Instagram again ‘for all to check on’.

It comes after Angie fueled speculation that the pair had split, when she told fans to ‘stay out of it’ online.

‘Carlin as recently as Thursday has publicly denied the rumours, they are untrue,’ his manager told KIIS FM.

‘Angie is on a pre-planned holiday in QLD with her family while she has the chance.’

He added: ’14 days was the minimum quarantine period, so that is why it is the length of time it is.’

On Sunday, Angie fueled speculation that she’s split from Carlin when she told fans to ‘stay out of it’ after they noticed they had unfollowed each other on Instagram.

She also blamed the activity on a ‘glitch in the system.’

The pair were rumoured to have quietly parted ways several weeks ago, after their supporters noticed they were seemingly living separate lives.

She wrote on the BachieFunny Instagram fan account on Sunday: ‘Leave it. If you don’t know, you don’t know,’ she added.

Interestingly, Angie did not deny that they had split up. Instead of clarifying the status of their relationship, she told people it was ‘none of their business’.

‘Everyone got their happy ending when the show was on,’ she wrote.

‘Now it’s no one’s business. It’s my real life. So best people stay out of it unless they know for real what someone is going through.’

Despite her explanation, it’s possible that the pair simply re-followed each other in response to Daily Mail Australia’s article on Sunday.

It is also worth noting that the ‘Instagram glitch’ Angie apparently suffered did not cause her to unfollow any of the other 1,935 people she’s connected to on the app.

Instead, the ‘glitch’ simply unfollowed her boyfriend.

Last week, Carlin described the split rumours as ‘silly’ and baseless.

He told Daily Mail Australia that Angie had returned to Queensland to visit family, leaving him to move into a new place in Sydney on his own.

Angie had initially relocated from the Sunshine Coast to Sydney in February to be closer to her boyfriend, but they decided not to live together.

They met filming The Bachelorette in Sydney last year. Angie chose Carlin as her winner on the dating show over runner-up Timm Hanly.
