‘I don’t want to contribute to any unnecessary COVID fear-mongering, but surely kissing is a high-risk exercise?’ she pondered.

The TV personality said she found the first kiss while dating as a ‘delightful’ experience, but was uneasy about exploring more than a conversation with potential partners within the current climate.

The former Today show star said she felt just as anxious before she dialled in with the mystery man as she would normally walking into any first date.

Following her first virtual date, she said it was ‘much more enjoyable than [she] expected’.

Sami said the pair chatted non-stop for an hour while she ‘downed’ two glasses of wine from the comfort of her living room.
