Danny Dyer’s grandmother is taken to hospital with pneumonia

Danny Dyer’s grandmother has been taken to hospital with pneumonia and isn’t allowed any visitors due to the current coronavirus pandemic. 

The mother of 42-year-old EastEnders actor Danny, Christina Dyer, shared the heartbreaking news about her mum on Twitter on Tuesday. 

She wrote: ‘My little mum is in hospital with pneumonia. Not Covid thank f***. 

‘I’m taking up parcels and phoning her, but not being able to visit her is f****** devastating.’  

Her granddaughter, former Love Island star Dani Dyer, 24, responded: ‘Hope she’s OK.’

Chris then replied, ‘So do I! Love you xxx,’ before going on to say: ‘I know she is in the best place to get better’.

The Dyers are known to be very close and spend lots of time together and Dani even appeared to break lockdown rules in March to visit her parents’ home. 

She posted a video to her Instagram of her dancing with her mother, Joanne Mas, 43, on March 26 – three days after the UK went into lockdown. 

And earlier this year Dani’s grandmother Chris took her to the pub after she broke up with her on again off again boyfriend Sammy Kimmence,  

And after she ended her relationship with former co-star Jack Fincham, Chris took to Twitter to stand up for her granddaughter. 

One follower lamented that Dani had let go of an ‘amazing guy’. To which Chris responded: ‘How do you know that he is an amazing guy? Do you have inside information? 

‘To all you f***wits out there slagging off my beautiful granddaughter just remember she has got a bestselling book and a fabulous clothing range. 

‘Go back to you s****y little jealously filled lives. What she eats don’t make you fat!’
