Bachelor star Peter Weber is ‘very, very happy with’ Kelley Flanagan

Kelley Flanagan originally placed fifth on Peter Weber’s season of The Bachelor but began a romance in March, after he ended his engagement with Hannah Ann Sluss and dated Madison Prewett.

And during a joint guest appearance on The Bachelor: The Greatest Seasons Ever, Peter, 28, told host Chris Harrison that he is ‘extremely happy’ and ‘very, very happy with this one,’ referring to Kelley, 28.

His mom Barb also appeared in the video interview giving the couple her stamp of approval: ‘It’s a dream come true. I love her. I love her so much, and she’s the daughter that I’ve always wanted.’

The pilot told Chris; ‘Post-show, honestly, I’m doing good. I’m extremely happy. It feels so good to be able to say that, and I’m just very hopeful for the future.’

Kelley, a lawyer, then joined in on the interview, and Peter pulled her in close as he said: ‘This is my girl.’

Chris asked Kelley is she ever asked Peter why he eliminated her from the Bachelor season, to which she said on the show she struggled to open up on the show and ‘moving a little slower,’ which she said made Peter frustrated on the show.  

Peter said: ‘We are just really excited for the future. When this [pandemic] finally ends, we both have dreams. We’d love to live in New York City for a little bit and get that experience, so hopefully fingers crossed that’s in our future…’

He continued: ‘And just enjoy each other. It’s been great.’

Peter’s mom appeared and said to Chris: ‘It’s a dream come true. I love her. I love her so much, and she’s the daughter that I’ve always wanted.’ 

Peter added: ‘I remember going in, and I wanted that love story more than anything, and I can honestly say it worked out in the end.’

He continued: ‘So, thank you. Thank you, Bachelor Nation for standing by me and all my craziness, but it worked out.’ 

Peter and Kelley were pictured at the end of March spending time together in Chicago; they were criticized for not social distancing amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Bachelor Nation began speculating about a new romance between them after it emerged they began quarantining together amid the pandemic.

They confirmed their romance after they went Instagram official in early May.

Before Kelley, Pete had failed relationships with her fellow contestants Madison Prewett and Hannah Ann Sluss.
