Conor has retired with a whopping 22 wins and just four losses on his records.

However, some of his fans doubted the truth of his statement as it isn’t the first time he’s announced his retirement only to come back to the ring.

In April 2016, the fighter said he was giving up. And again in October 2018 he said he was retiring after losing to Khabib Nurmagomedov.

One person commented: ‘If I had a dollar for every time I’ve heard you say that.’  While another said: ‘Third time you’ve retired in 12 months isn’t it?’ And another wrote: ‘Every few months the same narrative.’

History repeating itself: In April 2016, the fighter said he was giving up. And again in October 2018 he said he was retiring after losing to Khabib Nurmagomedov
