Pregnant Sophie Turner says ‘White Silence Is Violence’ at a Black Lives Matter protest with her husband Joe Jonas

They’ve been passionate about their commitment to anti-racist efforts on social media following the May 25 killing of George Floyd.

And Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas continued to make their voices heard on Saturday when they attended a Black Lives Matter protest that appeared to be at Northern California‘s Mammoth Lake.

Despite being pregnant, the 24-year-old actress joined her 30-year-old husband in fighting to end systemic racism and police violence.

Joe shared a photo from the event of himself and Sophie, along with their friends Greg Garbo and Paris Carney.

The Jonas Brothers singer wore a black puffer jacket with a baseball cap and a camouflage cloth mask.

Sophie has been favoring loose-fitting clothes as her pregnancy has developed, and she continued the trend with a black jacket and white sweatpants covered with cartoonish black bears.

The Dark Phoenix star had a hand-written cardboard sign with her that read, ‘White Silence Is Violence.’

‘We stand, we kneel, we lay down with you,’ Sophie captioned the photo in her Instagram Stories.

Floyd was killed when a white police officer pressed his knee into his neck for nearly nine minutes, including almost three minutes after he stopped breathing and became unresponsive.

After a multi-day delay, the officer was charged with second-degree manslaughter and third-degree murder (later upgraded to second-degree murder).

He and the three other officers at the scene were fired shortly after video of the arrest went public, and days later the other three were charged with aiding and abetting murder and manslaughter.

More work to do: Joe finished his post with a short video of Sophie protesting and shouting, 'No justice, no peace,' before he panned to show the rest of the crowd

The chant inspired one commenter to weigh in.

‘I mean they’ve been arrested and charge with murder so there justice sooooo can we have peace now? [sic]’ they wrote.

Sophie reminded them that the fight was ongoing and about much larger issues.

‘This isn’t just about those 4 caps, this is about Breonna Taylor, this is about Trayvon Martin, this is about Eric Garner, this is about the systemic racism that black people have faced for hundreds and hundreds of years. This is about changing the system. Justice will be done when society reflects our beliefs that we are all equal. Until then there should be no peace,’ she wrote.
