Jennifer Connelly says lockdown in Vermont has been ‘really difficult’ for her family due to the ‘lack of human connection’

The past few months of lockdown laws, amid the COVID-19 pandemic, have been challenging for many.

And Jennifer Connelly has opened up about the struggles she’s faced, particularly the toll of a lack of human interaction, as she isolates with her family in rural Vermont.

The 49-year-old actress spoke to Emmy magazine as their June cover star and confessed ‘it’s been really difficult.’

Not easy: Jennifer Connelly confessed on Sunday that she and her family have found lockdown ‘really difficult’ due to the ‘lack of human connection’

‘I can’t remember if it’s three weeks or four weeks now that we’ve been here,’ she began.

‘We don’t go anywhere. The other day, the UPS guy came, and the kids got so excited. They were like, “We haven’t seen a person in a week! Can we watch?” And I was like, “Yeah. Sure.” And they literally sat on the staircase and watched as I opened the door and waved and talked to the UPS guy from a distance.’

The Academy Award winning actress continued: ‘That human connection, not having that contact, has been really difficult for everyone.’

Not with them is the star’s eldest son, Kai Dugan, 22, who’s been staying in Los Angeles.

‘We haven’t gone this long without seeing him. Ever,’ she said.

And Jennifer already has plans for a big family and friends gathering when the pandemic is over.

‘We’re going to have a huge gathering,’ she shared.
