Friday marked what would have been the 27th birthday of Breonna Taylor, a black EMT worker from Louisville, Kentucky who was gunned down by police in her own home in March.
And Hollywood celebrities were moved to take to the streets along with many others in protest of Taylor’s killing, as well as countless other unarmed black people including George Floyd and Ahmaud Arbery.
Four of those seen protesting in Los Angeles, California on Friday included Madison Beer, Cara Santana, Maika Monroe and her boyfriend Joe Keery, who all took part in protests held specifically in honor of Breonna.

Santana, 35, was seen both on foot and in her bulky white Mercedes Benz SUV, as she drove friends along the protest route to the central LA home of Mayor Eric Garcetti.
She was dressed in an appropriate all-black ensemble, as protest organizers have said wearing black is helpful so as not to stand out or be readily identifiable by police or other authorities.
Singer Beer, 21, was seen in the West Hollywood area on Friday, holding a bright pink sign that read Black Lives Matter.
She wore light grey sweat clothes and a black face mask, as a measure of protection against the still-present coronavirus.

Madison also broadcasted the proceedings of the day on her Instagram Live.
Keery, 28 and Monroe, 27, meanwhile, were also spotted at a Breonna Taylor protest, cheering on as organizers and activists took the mic or megaphone to share their feelings.
The It Follows star was in all black, save for leopard print footwear, while her partner of Stranger Things fame donned a grey t-shirt, black jeans and brown work boots.

And as has also been customary for those in the public eye, all four celebrities pictured also used their social media platforms to spread further awareness about Breonna and her case, which is now being investigated by the FBI.
When Taylor was killed by plainclothes police detectives, they were searching for a suspect who was already in custody over ten miles away.
In addition to Madison posting to her IG Live, Cara posted various snippets of the protest to her Insta Stories, while both Maika and Joe shared beautiful illustrations of the fallen victim of police violence with calls to action to ‘Say Her Name’ and contact authorities to demand further repercussions for the police officers who killed her.
