‘That was the best thing I’ve seen since this pandemic started’: This Morning viewers are left in hysterics over chat about the public booking a GOAT for their Zoom calls

This Morning viewers were in hysterics while watching Friday’s edition of the show because of a discussion about goats appearing on Zoom calls.

Co-presenters Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford, both 60, chatted with Dot McCarthy, a farmer whose goat Mary had unexpectedly become a popular animal to get booked by the public to be in their video calls.

The farmer revealed that Mary first began appearing in live streams for churches because of her religious name, and thanks to that success she began accepting bookings for Mary in other zoom calls.

Eamonn then asked if Mary was pregnant as he commented on her weight, and Dot told him not to body-shame her animal as she had just given birth to a baby which was climbing all over her during the chat.

Clearly uninterested in remaining on camera for the discussion, the goat wandered out of shot before the interview was over.

Viewers shared their disbelief and absolute joy over the segment, as they joked that the show had ‘peaked’ with the hilarious discussion.

One fan of the show declared: ‘That farm/goat segment was probably the best thing that’s been on since the whole pandemic started. Real and fun. Can our farmers get some praise too?’

While another joked: ‘Goats doing Zoom calls? That’s it, I’m obviously hallucinating.’

Claiming the show could never get better than this, one added: ‘The show peaked with the Goat segment. Tough standards to keep thereafter.’

Another viewer was delighted by the idea, as they wrote: ‘It’s a bonkers idea to hire a goat for a zoom video chat but I love it.’
