Laura Dern, 53, covers up with a Snoopy face mask as the actress heads out with daughter Jaya, 15  

She’s recently been an active participant in LA’s Black Lives Matter protests. 

But Laura Dern, 53, took a break from activism to run some errands on Thursday, with the Oscar winning actress spotted outside a Brentwood pharmacy chatting with a friend in the parking lot.

Dern was joined by one of the two children she shares with ex Ben Harper – 15-year-old daughter Jaya. 

The Big Little Lies star made sure to follow CDC recommendations by wearing a face mask for the outing.

The red mask was adorned with cute images of Peanuts comic strip character Snoopy.

Laura went casual for the day out in Los Angeles, pairing gray sweatpants with a black T-shirt.

She wore her trademark wavy blonde tresses loose as she conversed, with her teen daughter standing close by. 

The Blue Velvet star previously joined the protests over the police killing of unarmed Black man George Floyd.

She posted some photos Monday to Instagram of a peaceful protest taking place in Los Angeles.

Dern joined a huge crowd as she took a knee with son Ellery, 18, showing solidarity with the demonstration.

It comes after they took to Instagram to celebrate Ellery’s high school graduation from home amid quarantine.
