Emily Ratakjowski, Kristen Stewart, Ben Affleck, Ana De Armas march in Black Lives Matter protests

Emily Ratajkowski, Kristen Stewart, Ben Affleck and Ana De Armas led the celebrities taking part in Black Lives Matter protests this week.

The stars joined hordes of fellow protesters making their voices heard amid the killing of black man George Floyd at the hands of a white police officer, in an act which has sent shockwaves around the world.

Model Emily, 28,  has been outspoken on social media amid Black Lives Matter protests across the country – and took to the streets of LA on Tuesday to march alongside husband Sebastian Bear-McClard and other supporters of the cause.

The star held up a sign that read ‘defund the police’ as she walked in the peaceful protest in the Californian city.

She sported a cropped army green sweatshirt, some skintight black bike shorts and a pair of black and white Adidas sneakers.  

Ratajkowski kept her face covered with a red baseball cap, black Ray-Ban wayfarers and a black face mask. 

She previously took to her Instagram story with a sign she created that read: ‘Dismantle power structures of oppression.’  

The I Feel Pretty star also shared video of the peaceful demonstration as protesters took a knee in front of City Hall.

She shared another photo of armed soldiers in front of a boarded-up storefront, writing: ‘Who are you protecting? Who are you serving?’

Ratajkowski also used her story to call out social media activists, after #BlackOutTuesday started trending, taking over the #BlackLivesMatter hashtag with black squares instead of vital resources.

She wrote: ‘So easy to post a black square. I’m seeing people who haven’t posted in YEARS come on to post a black square.

‘Your silence was embarrassing and now you can feel good about yourself while doing the bare minimum. This is the worst kind of [virtue] signaling.’  

Actress Kristen Stewart and girlfriend Dylan Meyer also joined a Black Lives Matter protest in Los Angeles on Tuesday.

 The 30-year-old SAG Award winner went incognito in a blue flannel, which she layered over a white t-shirt, and paired with a cropped pair of grey trousers.  

As she navigated the sidewalk with a few pals, she kept her nose and mouth covered with a pastel blue facial covering. 

The Twilight alum slicked her blonde tresses in a half-up, half-down updo, as she cut a bandit chic look.

While remaining mostly covered up, Stewart left a glimpse of her toned midriff exposed, while walking toward a demonstration to campaign against violence and systemic racism towards black people. 

Staying close by, Meyer, who she was first linked to in August, could be seen donning a cropped graphic t-shirt black sunglasses and a pair of denim bottoms.   

Two-time Oscar-winning filmmaker Ben Affleck and his castmate-turned-quarantine partner Ana de Armas joined a recent Black Lives Matter protest in Venice Beach.

In an image which surfaced on Twitter Tuesday, the Berkeley-born, Cambridge-raised 47-year-old held up two signs while marching down Abbot Kinney beside the Cuban 32-year-old.

One sign supported Black Lives Matter following Ben’s tweet on Monday: ‘Now is the time for me to listen, learn, and most importantly, take action.’   

The other sign supported saving a 100-year-old African-American landmark – First Baptist Church of Venice – which Jay Penske bought for $6.3M and plans on rebuilding as multi-family family home. (The church relocated to another venue prior to the sale.) 

Affleck and de Armas were easily able to ride to the protest on his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, which they’ve been spotted on two days in a row now.  

The politically-active pair wore matching blue jeans with black leather jackets for their joy ride on his bike, which had no license plate.

‘Currently arrested for a peaceful protest. Writing in handcuffs in back of bus. EVERYONE WAS PEACEFUL. – Jaime and the rest of my sisters on this bus. 77th precinct,’ wrote the 41-year-old actress to her nearly 220,000 followers.

Jaime donned an ‘I am a voter’ tee and had her arm wrapped around a fellow protester’s shoulders as they paraded up and down the Mayor’s affluent street.

Protesters chanted ‘Defund The Police’ and wielded various homemade signs throughout the duration of the peaceful demonstration.

King’s bleach blonde hair looked noticeably undone and she donned a medical grade face mask.

She paired her statement t-shirt with a pair of black skinny jeans and some white trainers.

The highly, organized protest – presented by the LA chapter of Black Lives Matter -aimed to pressure Garcetti into significantly lowering the LAPD’s exorbitant budget. 

According to reports, ‘over 100 demonstrators’ sat before a line of LAPD officers, in order to create a safe space for speakers and activists to voice their ideas and concerns.

Showing their support for the cause, Darren threw his fist into the air as his wife walked alongside him carrying their homemade sign which read, ‘Black Trans Lives Matter.’ 

In a series of Instagram photos shared on fan accounts on Tuesday,Harry Styles, 26, can be seen holding up a Black Lives Matter placard and kneeling to the ground with fellow protesters as a powerful symbol against racism.

Thousands of protesters marched the streets of Hollywood on Tuesday where they were met by varying degrees of law enforcement from the LAPD to the National Guard, according to the Los Angeles Times.  

The death of 46-year-old George Floyd in Minneapolis has sparked days of demonstrations across the nation over police brutality against African-Americans.

On May 25, Floyd – an unarmed, African-American male – experienced a horrific death at the hands of police in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

In the horrifying video footage of Floyd’s death, he is seen saying that he can not breathe as officer Derek Chauvin kneeled on his neck.

Protests swelled after federal authorities said Thursday that they were making the case a top priority but announced no arrests at that time.

The Minneapolis policeman accused of killing Floyd, Chauvin, was taken into custody Friday and charged with third-degree murder, officials said.    

Social media also entered a 24-hour blackout on Tuesday as people made their voices heard in the fight for equality and against racial injusticeafter the senseless death of George Floyd.
