Former Bachelor star Nichole Wood has hit back after being viciously trolled for sharing a photo of her baby bump online.

The 26-year-old slammed online bullies on Instagram on Wednesday, one day after she was criticised for posting a selfie showing off her blossoming bump.

Nichole wrote: ‘Just want everyone to know if you’re struggling with nasty comments or bullies to remember it’s not you.’

‘Don’t let people’s silly opinions ruin your day, it’s always their own insecurities. And it’s never true,’ she continued.

Nichole went on to say: ‘I’ve always been quite resilient to negative comments hence why I got the character I got on the Bachelor.’

She explained that there is always a ‘positive behind the negative’ and thanked most of her followers for their lovely messages and support.

Nichole, who appeared in Matt Agnew’s season of The Bachelor, is expecting her first child with boyfriend Jake Yard.

Last month, she told Daily Mail Australia that she had never expected to fall pregnant naturally because she suffers from a hormonal condition that can affect menstrual cycles and fertility.

‘I didn’t find out until I was seven weeks, so it was pretty crazy and I wasn’t expecting it,’ she said.

‘I have something called [polycystic ovary syndrome] which is a sort of infertility that can make it harder to get pregnant, so I was shocked that I fell pregnant naturally.’

The cafe manager said that she learned she was pregnant after she started craving savory foods out of nowhere, despite having a serious sweet tooth all her life.

‘All of a sudden I was eating weird things at work like ham and cheese croissants with smashed avocado on them!’

‘I was very emotional as well and had a few teary [laughs].’

Nichole, who is four months along, said that her first trimester left her feeling ‘hung over 24/7, nauseous and always tired,’ but she’s recently started getting her energy back in her second trimester.
