Missing nine-year-old girl who sparked urgent police appeal when she vanished from her Sussex home is found safe and well

  • Isabelle was last seen in the Polegate area of Wealden District, East Sussex 
  • Police raised concerns over the missing girl in a Twitter post this afternoon 
  • They say that she was last seen just before midday and has bright orange hair
  • But Wealden Police say that Isabelle has since been found ‘safe and well’ 

A missing nine-year-old girl who vanished from her home today, sparking an urgent police appeal, has been found safe and well. 

The girl, Isabelle, was last seen in Polegate, Wealden District, East Sussex just before midday. 

Wealden Police said the youngster has bright orange hair and was wearing a sundress with brown ankle boots.

But police have since updated their appeal to say Isabelle has been found ‘safe and well’.

On Twitter, Wealden Poliec said: ‘ Thanks for all who helped us, we have now just found the nine-year old girl who was missing from Polegate- she is safe and well.’ 

Earlier today, the team had taken to Twitter to alert the public about the missing girl.

In an earlier tweet, they said: ‘We and family very worried for her.’
