They first became friends when Jenny was the landlady The Crown Inn pub in Paull, Yorkshire, where Lee was a regular.

And while Jenny and Lee have their own partners they often go on holiday together.

Jenny’s husband Ray prefers to stay off camera and has never appeared on the show while Lee has been with his partner Steve Mail for 26 years.

The pair joined the show in its fourth series in 2014 after Jenny was approached by researchers at Beverley Races Ladies’ Day.

Lee reportedly wasn’t into the idea at first and told The Hull Daily Mail: ‘To be honest I didn’t want to do it. I’d say it took her about an hour and a half to talk me into it – about as long as it took me to get out of bed.’

Although Jenny and Lee won’t be back on screens until September, Celebrity Gogglebox starts next Friday night.
