According to the Daily Telegraph, the power couple are looking for a home that they ‘can do up’ instead.

Over it? A lavish home in Vaucluse that was inspected by Former Australian cricket captain Steve Smith, 30, and his wife Dani Willis, 29, has been sold to another buyer for $6.8 million

‘They are looking for something they can potentially do up, or preferably they want to build their own home,’ a real estate agent from Sydney’s eastern suburbs told Property Confidential.

‘They are ideally looking for land in Bellevue Hill, maybe something they can knock down so they can build their own home from scratch.’

Steve and Dani currently live at their beachside home in Coogee, which they snapped up in 2011.

They also own properties in Balmain, Marrickville, Sans Souci and Birchgrove.

The couple tied the knot in a secret ceremony in the Southern Highlands in September, 2018.

Steve also hit headlines that year after he was involved in the ball-tampering scandal that shocked the nation.

The batsman – along with teammates Cameron Bancroft and David Warner – were punished with temporary bans for their involvement in the scandal in South Africa, and faced contempt and mockery from fans around the world.

Steve, who admitted he almost threw in the towel following the scandal, returned to the pitch for his first international match recently since serving his 12 month-ban.

His return saw him labelled the world’s best batsman during an Ashes Test in England last year.
