Carol Vorderman has sent fans into a frenzy after sharing a throwback photo of her listening to music on an ancient computer from 20 years ago.

The Countdown star shot to fame when she landed the mathematics role on the Channel 4 show in 1982.

Carol, 59, retweeted the 90s throwback picture that a fan posted showing her in a mini-skirt and tight red t-shirt.

She can be seen working on an old computer and smiling at the camera while sporting a very different hairdo than her current look.

Her hair was cut into a crop and seemed much curlier than the usual luscious blow-dry look she opts for these days.

The fan tweeted the picture alongside the caption: ‘Just Carol Vorderman illustrating how we used to listen to music before airpods and ipods.’

She appeared on Loose Women from 2011 until 2014, Have I Got News for You, The Sunday Night Project and Lorraine.

But TV appearances are not the only thing the maths whiz is famed for.

In 2011 and 2014 she won Rear of the Year.

However, while many of her fans believe she has grown more attractive with age, Carol revealed she does receive criticism for how she dresses.

She spoke on This Morning to say she received a few ageist comments after wearing a strapless dress to the Baftas in 2000 where she was referred to as ‘mutton dresses as lamb’.
