  • A group of neighbours on Aberdeen’s Norfolk road performed a dance routine
  • The group was socially-distanced and used their wheelie bins as dancing props
  • Some dressed as Tina Turner for the energetic dance to the star’s Proud Mary

A group of neighbours performed a socially-distanced, choreographed dance with their wheelie bins during lockdown.

Aberdeen’s Norfolk road residents danced to Tina Turner’s Proud Mary with some of them dressed up as the star herself.

The footage starts by showing a home-made sign that reads: ‘Mary is feeling proud tonight’ before zooming out to show the residents clicking in time to the music.

Each performer stands next to their black plastic wheelie bins in a line parallel to another line of more dancers on the other side of the road.

Other residents on the street watch the dance and film it while the dancers put on an impressive display.

During the dance the camera zooms in on another home-made sign telling people to donate to Aberdeen foodbank with the words: ‘Aberdeen Foodbank. Please donate at www.cfine.org’.

The routine comes to a theatrical end when the dancers dramatically knock over their bins and bow to the applause of everyone else on the street.
