Kourtney Kardashian gets ‘western’ during horseback ride with her kids, Penelope and Reign in Utah

Los Angeles has continued to uphold its ‘Safer At Home’ mandate as a means of deterring the spread of COVID-19. 

So for Memorial Day weekend, Kourtney Kardashian ‘escaped to the desert’ that is the great state of Utah with two of her three children, daughter Penelope, eight, and youngest son Reign, five. 

In a series of portraits shared to Instagram on Monday, the 41-year-old KUWTK star and her kids explored the desert terrain on horseback.  

Kourtney let her brunette tresses flow out from under a camo green cap as she posed happily atop he horse.

She suited up in a black tee, which she paired with denim jeans and riding boots.

Penelope put her personal style on full display by donning a baby pink cowboy hat that coordinated with her western boots.  

Reign covered his head with a royal blue cowboy hat as he struggled to hang onto his majestic ride.

In one photograph, Penelope attempted to keep her cowboy hat from flying off her head as she marveled at the size of her horse.

Another snapshot showed Kourtney’s darling duo puckering up for the camera, while sitting idly atop their horses.

Kourtney also posted plenty of awe-inspiring scenic shots and a video she had taken during their ride. 

In her short video, Kourtney panned over the trail’s impressive landscape as Penelope and Reign led the way. 

The trio were accompanied by an experienced tour guide who happily snapped pictures of Kourtney with her kids. 

The reality star revealed that she left Los Angeles for the weekend in an Instagram post shared on Monday morning.

In the picture – that has since received over 800,000 likes – the POOSH founder showed off her famous curves in a brown sports bra and a pair of high legged underwear.

Her hair blew around in the desert breeze as she stood with her legs spread and her hands at her sides.

Kourtney’s sultry brown peepers were hidden behind a pair of black, wrap around shades.  

Her eldest son Mason, ten, was missing from the desert action, which lead many to assume he may be spending the rest of the holiday weekend with his father Scott Disick, 37. 

Kardashian and Disick – who ended their lengthy relationship in 2015 – also share Penelope and Reign.

Scott had all three of his kids over at his home on Thursday and they enjoyed a day at the pool.  

Scott recently checked himself out of rehab facility after admitting himself late last month.

DailyMail.com exclusively revealed that he checked into the All Points North Lodge in Edwards, Colorado, on April 28.

He reportedly entered the treatment center after he struggled with family life during lockdown and is still having a hard time coping with the loss of both his parents.

Scott’s mother Bonnie died at the age of 63 in October 2013, and three months later he also lost his father Jeffrey. 

In the wake of his rehab exit, a source reported to Us Weekly that Scott and his girlfriend of three years Sofia Richie, 21, are currently ‘on a break until he straightens himself out more.’

The insider claimed: ‘Scott is in an OK place right now and is trying to get better and focus on work, but he has to prove himself.’

Meanwhile an E! News source asserted: ‘[Sofia] has been giving Scott space to figure out his next steps, but has consistently been supporting him.’

Sofia is the daughter of Grammy Award-winning recording artist Lionel Richie, 71.
