Eric Cantona brings back his Manchester United shaved head look for new Netflix series Inhuman Resources

Eric Cantona is reviving his classic Manchester United look for his role in the Netflix series Inhuman Resources.

The former footballer, 54, sports a shaved head and a goatee in the show, similar to the look he previously displayed on the football pitch in the 90s.

The series, which debuted on the streaming platform on May 15, tells the story of Alain Delambre who is fired from his HR job for being too old.

After losing his job, Alain’s only hope of paying his mortgage on his run-down apartment in Paris is to take on odd jobs.

Things appear to be looking up for Alain when he secures an interview for a HR recruiter for an aerospace manufacturer.

However, the application process for the job requires him to take part in a role-play of a simulated hostage situation.

The series is based on the thriller novel Cadres Noirs by French author Pierre Lemaitre.

The show comes after a new book King Eric: Portrait of the Artist Who Changed English Football, was penned about some of the key moments in the star’s sporting career.

It was reported in March that I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! bosses are interested in getting Eric for the next series.

According to The Sun, show producer Richard Cowles said: ‘I just like the idea of Eric Cantona talking in French and coming up with really profound things. That would be good’.

Charismatic and outspoken, bosses reportedly think Eric – who is known for his eccentric behaviour – will be TV gold in the jungle.

The star is affectionately nicknamed by Manchester United fans as ‘King Eric’. The crowd would chant ‘Ooh aah, Cantona’ every time Eric came onto the pitch.

Following his retirement from football in 1997, he took up a career in cinema and had a role in the 1998 film Elizabeth, starring Cate Blanchett, the 2008 film French Film, and the 2009 film Looking for Eric.
