Joel McHale is unrecognizable in smiley face mask and sunglasses while out shopping at Farmer’s Market as LA begins to ease COVID-19 restrictions
Comedian Joel McHale brought his happy face while out shopping on another sunny and warm Southern California day.
The 48-year-old actor wore a big yellow and black smiley face mask while picking up supplies at the Farmer’s Market in the Studio City neighborhood of Los Angeles on Sunday.
With the mask, dark sunglasses and baseball cap, the former host of The Soup looked unrecognizable as he strutted along and picked up supplies at the various vendors just off the famous Ventura Boulevard.

McHale’s smiley mask covered his lower face and was looped around both of his ears with long adjustable white rope that hung down about a half a foot.
With the sun glaring down, the 48-year-old also wore a grey Seattle Seahawks t-shirt, black shorts and white and black sneakers for the outing.
During his excursion he pulled a wheeled-device behind him that carried all of his bagged purchases.
There appeared to be a scattered crowd at the market, but for the most part, people wore masks and tried to adhere to the social distancing mandate of keeping six-feet apart.

It turns out McHale’s smiley mask was made by a couple of his friends that own a small denim company in San Pedro called Prospective Flow.
Earlier in May he revealed that his two pals want to give some of the masks away for free and urged his fans to follow them on Instagram @prospectiveflow.
‘Want to be gifted a mask and support an independently owned business?,’ he began in the caption of a short promotional video before showing off his comedic skills.

McHale is best known for hosting The Soup (2004–2015) and for his role as Jeff Winger on the NBC sitcom Community (2009-2015).
He also made waves in the films Spy Kids: All the Time in the World (2011) and Ted (2012).
The television personality currently host a reboot of Card Sharks (2019-present).
Most recently he hosted an after-show special of Netflix’s wildly popular documentary series Tiger King. The documentary follows the exploits and downfall of prolific tiger breeder Joseph Maldonado-Passage, a.k.a. Joe Exotic.
