Kelly Rowland was moved to tears on Sunday’s episode of The Voice Australia.

As contestant Stellar Perry sang Lady Gaga‘s Always Remember Us This Way during the season nine premiere, the American coach was overwhelmed with emotion.

Her unexpected tears and struggle to compose herself left the other coaches confused, as Delta Goodrem raced to her side asking, ‘What’s wrong?’

Kelly brushed off Delta’s question, insisting: ‘I’m fine, I’m fine’.

Speaking to artist Stellar, the Destiny’s Child star explained: ‘You sang that song beautifully. It’s very rare that you meet artists that come and just don’t mind opening [their hearts]. I needed that, so I really appreciate you being so open.’

Stellar revealed her ‘pain’ behind the song choice and said it’s dedicated to love.

The contestant said: ‘I’m going through a transitional phase of thinking that you’ve got what you’ve got for the rest of your life, and that might not be the case.

‘I’m really struggling with that so much, because I want it so much. And I love love, and I’m not very good at letting love go. Whether it’s good for me or not. So anytime that I sing anything to do with love, I want to chase it and embrace it.

‘I don’t want to remember it, I want it to be in my present every single day and that’s really confronting for me and those lyrics really hit home.’
