John Travolta shares a video from his private airplane as he takes to the skies
John Travolta took social distancing to new heights, literally, as he took to the skies in one of his private planes.
The 66-year-old actor, who has been a licensed pilot since he was 22 years old, took to his Instagram to share a video from the air.
‘It’s always exciting to get back in here again!’ Travolta said in the caption of his brief video that was posted on Tuesday afternoon.

‘It’s always exciting to get back in the air again, so here I am celebrating,’ Travolta said, while turning the camera to show his plane soaring above the clouds.
Travolta was sporting a salt and pepper beard with a black sweatshirt while strapped into the pilot’s seat of his plane.
The Pulp Fiction star’s flight comes just days after he shared a throwback photo to more than 50 years ago, with ties to his flight history.

‘Throwback Thursday: When I was 15 years old, my school offered an aviation class which started my second career,’ Travolta said in the photo’s caption.
Travolta first became a licensed pilot over 40 years ago, and his sprawling estate outside of Ocala, Florida even includes a private runway and taxiway for his planes.
He was inducted into the Living Legends of Aviation in 2007, and he wrote the book Propeller One-Way Night Coach, following a young boy’s first flight.

Travolta and his wife Kelly Preston also shared heartfelt tributes to their late son Jett in April, on what would have been his 28th birthday.
‘Happy Birthday Jetty! We love you! ❤️,’ Travolta wrote on the caption of his Instagram post.
Jett passed in January 2009 during a family trip to the Bahamas when he hit his head on a bathtub after suffering a seizure at their home on Grand Bahama Island.

Travolta most recently starred in The Fanatic in 2019, and other movies The Poison Rose and Trading Paint.
He also stars in the upcoming Die Hart, alongside Kevin Hart, where he plays a fictionalized version of himself.
CBS also confirmed that, in place of the canceled Tony Awards, the network will air a sing-along version of his classic musical Grease.
