Dave Hughes trolled by fans over embarrassing detail in Instagram picture

Why Dave Hughes is getting trolled over this Instagram post: Comedian cops a backlash over an embarrassing detail in a picture of his backyard

Comedian Dave Hughes recently adopted two kittens.

But the animal-loving funnyman, 49, didn’t quite get the response he was looking for last week when he shared a photo to Instagram of one of the cats.

He was instead trolled over the sorry state of his overgrown backyard.

He didn’t expect that! Comedian Dave Hughes (pictured) was trolled by fans on Instagram last week after sharing a seemingly innocent picture of his new cat

In the picture, the cat is seen climbing on David’s patio furniture under a pergola. There are dead vines dangling down with dirt and leaves littering the path.

‘Love the cat. The yard not so much. It is a mess,’ wrote one follower.

‘Very cute, Dave. I know a good gardener if you need one,’ added a second fan.

‘Hughesy, let the Better Homes and Gardens people in that backyard for a makeover,’ laughed another person, suggesting Dave needs professional help taming it.

Many other fans took pleasure in mocking Dave’s overgrown garden. He failed to respond to anyone, with people even offering to lend him gardening tools.

Dave adopted two white kittens in April, as his family self-isolated from COVID-19.
