Her snaps come after her dad Danny branded Love Island ‘a pile of s**t’, despite his own daughter’s appearance on the show.

The EastEnders actor, 42, slammed the ITV2 reality series – which has been halted this year due to COVID-19 – during the most recent episode of Romesh Ranganathan’s The Ranganation.

Speaking via Zoom from his home, Danny was asked by Romesh about his daughter Dani’s time on Love Island, and about the concerns he had for her when she applied.

Asked whether his worries were about Dani getting physical on national TV, Danny replied: ‘Yeah, also the show’s a pile of s**t, Love Island, so that was the other thing I was worried about.’

Chat then turned to Netflix series Too Hot To Handle – another dating show which tasks contestants with not becoming physically attached with each other.

‘I can see what they’re trying to do. Sort of trying to do all this spiritual connection stuff, but I would have thought you need quite intelligent people on the show to have some sort of spiritual connection,’ Danny quipped.

Danny’s daughter Dani met Essex native Jack Fincham, 29, on the show – with the pair going on to win it.

But they split just under a year later – with Jack confessing last summer that he doesn’t know whether he loved Dani.

Appearing on yet another reality dating show, E4’s Celebs Go Dating, the pen salesman broke his silence on their split, claiming the couple moved too fast after they left the villa.

As dating agents Anna Williamson and Paul C Brunson asked if he’d ever been in love, Jack admitted: ‘I don’t know now.’

He added: ‘I had three serious girlfriends long-term… and you know, being with them, I’ve said “I love you” to all of them. Did I? I don’t know’.

The agents then asked specifically about his relationship with Dani. He said: ‘If we had lived in Love Island forever, we’d have been fine. We rushed it straight away, we moved in together. I did want to [move in with her] but I wish we had waited.

‘I let her rush me a little bit. We had a genuine connection in there and I think anyone can see that. Honestly, and I mean this, I wish her all the happiness in the world.

‘I’m not a bitter person. Oh, 100 per cent I’m over Dani and now I want to go and meet someone. I’ve missed out on so much dating. I haven’t done it on over a year.’

Confirming their split in April with an Instagram post, Jack wrote: ‘There is no easy way to say this and it isn’t going to be an easy time but me an Dani are not in a relationship anymore.

‘That’s all I have to say, a break up is hard enough as it is for both of us let alone in the public eye so I hope everyone is considerate and understands this. X.’

‘We will always care a lot for each other and have love for each other and I mean that from the bottom of my heart and I wish her nothing but happiness.

‘We have some amazing memories together and have been through a lot but sometimes things aren’t meant to be and we really did try to make it work but it unfortunately didn’t and that is life.’
