Animal Crossing New Horizons stamp rally: How to take part in the new event and earn in-game rewards

Nintendo Switch game Animal Crossing New Horizons has launched its new stamp rally event in which you can collect museum stamps to earn in-game rewards.

The stamp rally, which kicked off yesterday, is designed to celebrate International Museum Day. But you needn’t worry if you missed the occasion, as the in-game event actually runs every day until the end of the month.

It is one of the pre-announced Animal Crossing New Horizons events confirmed by Nintendo last month, along with Wedding Season which runs June 1 to 30 2020.

So how does the stamp rally work and how do you earn the in-game rewards? Here’s all you need to to know about the latest event.

Where is the stamp rally being held?

To take part in the stamp rally, you must first head to the museum and speak to Blathers. They will inform you that the museum is holding a Stamp Rally to honour International Museum Day.

As far as I know, the only requirement to activate the Animal Crossing New Horizons event is to have the museum fully built (not the tent). There is also no set number of fish, fossils and bugs that you need to have donated in order to play the Stamp Rally.

Where are the stamp machines in the museum and how do I collect stamps?

You must explore the fish, fossil and bug exhibits and discover three different stamp stations to attain special stamps. There are currently no stamps to collect in the art gallery.

Once you have collected all three special stamps in the three different exhibits, you will need to return to Blathers to claim your in-game rewards.

What rewards do you earn for completing the Stamp Rally?

For collecting each of the three stamps in each exhibit, Blathers will reward you with a special plaque to commemorate each achievement. There are three plaques to collect, which you may like to hang on the wall in your home.

Are there different Stamp Rally rewards each day?

The prizes remain the same each day, which has disappointed some Animal Crossing New Horizons players.

However, some budding entrepreneurs have decided to play each day anyway and sell any additional plaques for extra Bells in the Nook’s Cranny shop. You could even gift your extra plaques to other residents on your island, who sometimes give you Bells in return as gratitude.

Do the stamp machines stay in the same place?

The stamp machines move throughout the museum each day and vary from island-to-island. This makes replaying the in-game event a refreshing experience day-to-day.
