Jamie Otis and Doug Hehner reveal they have CHANGED newborn son’s name from Hayes to Hendrix
They welcomed their second child, son, Hayes Douglas Hehner, into the world last Wednesday.
And after just a few days, Married At First Sight‘s Jamie Otis and Doug Hehner have announced they’ve changed their baby’s name.
The couple took to Instagram Live to reveal to their legions of followers they had now changed his name to Hendrix Douglas.

‘The minute we had our son, the minute he came out, even before then, the first time I looked at him, I almost called him Hendrix,’ Jamie said.
‘We named his Hayes before we met him. We both really liked the name Hayes too.’
Doug later added that he accidentally and coincidentally also called Hayes Hendrix during his birth.

Jamie and Doug made the final decision on Saturday when they were filling out Hendrix’s birth certificate.
His new and more fitting name is also a connection to Jonathan – the son that the Jamie gave birth to at 17 weeks in 2016.
A baby-naming expert told the reality stars that Hendrix was was loosely connected to their late child.

In the mix was Hayes, Hendrix, Hudson and Hunter. They wanted a ‘H’ name to match their daughter, Henley Grace, two.

‘He’s so perfect. He looks just like his big sister Gracie,’ the couple said in a joint statement to People. ‘We’re in this together. You and me, baby Hayes!’
Jamie wrote on social media on Saturday: ‘I feel so BLESSED to get to be a mommy again.’

‘I don’t know what you think, but I def think the fourth trimester is the hardest trimester… physically, mentally, & emotionally! If anyone has tips to make it easier I’ll take ‘em! I’ve done this before but I’m wide open to learning/trying something new to heal faster!’
She candidly shared: ‘My vagina’s on fire, my butt feels like it exploded, and my nipples are back to being cracked and bleeding from nursing (didn’t really expect this one since I nursed Gracie for a full year).’
Jamie also told her fans during the post and her Live that she’s continued to cry ever since Hendrix’s birth.
33-year-old Otis and 36-year-old Hehner, met and tied the knot on the first season of Lifetime’s Married at First Sight in 2014.
They announced they were expecting a son last September.
