‘It’s really special to us’: Hamish Blake surprises his wife Zoe Foster Blake with a Lego themed gift – and reveals the reason why it’s so significant
He is the host of one of Nine’s top rating shows for the network: Lego Masters.
And on Sunday, Hamish Blake revealed he surprised his wife Zoe Foster Blake with a special gift from the set.
The comedian, 38, shared a photo of Eve from the animated film Wall-E, made using the small building blocks, and said he created it for his wife because it was the first movie they watched together.

‘While we were making LEGO masters this year I wanted to build Eve, from Wall-E the movie, as a surprise for my wife. It was one of the first movies we saw and it’s really special to us,’ he wrote on Instagram.
‘It’s pretty hard to build Eve BUT if I pulled it off, I would be a hero. I made Wall-E then set about making Eve. After a few weeks stealing lots of parts from the Brick Pit on the show, I was ready to try and get her going.’
Hamish said it was a difficult task but he was ‘determined to not let his wife down’ and asked Lego building expert Ryan Mcnaught to help him.
‘I tried and tried and was ABOUT to give up but then, one day, I discovered the secret of getting past my block. I found out what was holding me back. It was my skill. So I just asked Ryan,’ he said.
He continued: ‘With me out of the picture the project took off! He made what you see above in about an hour!’
‘It’s like I tell kids, what you can make out of LEGO is only limited by what your imagination can think of to ask Brickman to build.’

Zoë and Blake have been married for eight years – having tied the knot in 2012 at the Wolgan Valley in the Blue Mountains.
‘I married the love of my life, several lives perhaps, in a very small ceremony that was genuinely the best, most fun, perfect day of both our lives,’ Zoë wrote in her blog, zotheysay.
The pair share two children including six-year-old son, Sonny and daughter Rudy, two.
