Big Brother’s new bombshell: Grid girl Sophie Budack, 25, vows to ‘use her looks’ to win the competition as she’s announced as a housemate

New Big Brother contestant Sophie Budack is hoping her physical advantages will help her win the Chanel Seven show.

After being announced as a housemate on Saturday, the 25-year-old from Darwin said: ‘Using my looks will be one of my strategies’.

The glamorous brunette is a former gymnast and now works as a part-time grid girl and makeup artist while studying at university.

She stripped down to a bikini in her Big Brother promo, displaying her toned body.

‘I’m going in there to win and failing is just not an option,’ added Sophie. 

Sydney-based male model Chad Hurst was also announced as a housemate on Saturday. He is rumoured to strike up a romance with Sophie on the show.

In her Big Brother promo, Sophie also opened up about her tragic past.

‘I was an elite athlete at the age of 13. I was training for the Olympics in London and then two months before departure, I fractured my back,’ she said.

‘It was all over. I was out of the sport overnight. When I stopped training I felt empty, gymnastics was my whole life.’

Sophie will join Chad, former AFL star Daniel Gorringe, aerobics star Marissa Rancan, Think Tank’s Mat Garrick and mummy blogger Zoe George in Big Brother. 

There are still around 15 housemates to be revealed by Channel Seven.  

The entire season was pre-recorded earlier this year, and will starting airing in June.
