Little Mix’s Jade Thirlwall says she isn’t missing men in lockdown

She recently spoke out about how much she is missing touring with Little Mix.

But Jade Thirlwall has now revealed that one thing she isn’t missing is men, as she discussed how she is finding lockdown with her pals.

The Black Magic singer, 27, has been single for a year since breaking up with The Struts bassist Jed Elliott, 28.

Independent: Jade Thirlwall has recently spoken out about how much she is missing touring with her band Little Mix. But revealed that one thing she isn’t missing is men

After three years together, the pair blamed their busy schedules on the separation.

Jade told The Mirror: ‘I can’t be bothered. I’d rather sit and do nothing than have to sit and chinwag with a stranger.’

The singer has been living in her three-bed flat in Canary Wharf with her old friend Holly Robinson and fashion stylist Zack Tate.

Her apartment played part of the backdrop for part of the video for Little Mix’s new single Break Up Song, which the group had to film from their respective homes.

Jade dances in front of a purple wall while her bandmates Leigh-Anne Pinnock, 28, Jesy Nelson, 28, and Perrie Edwards, 26, do the same from their houses.

The band had planned to start their summer tour next month, including a headline slot at the British Summer Time Festival in Hyde Park in July.

Jade told The Mirror how cancelling the tour was heartbreaking. She said: ‘We were gutted. It would have been our biggest tour yet as well, so it was gutting to let the fans down.’

She added how much she was missing her bandmates because of lockdown when the girls would otherwise see each other almost everyday.

The singer spoke out about how she was struggling with writing music because she thrives when she is able to bounce ideas off others – something which has been harder thanks to lockdown.

Little Mix were formed on The X Factor in 2011 and are about to celebrate their tenth anniversary next year.

And Jade believes the band’s success comes from the fact that the girls are real friends behind closed doors.

Jade said: ‘We’re friends first and foremost and that’ll always come first.’

Jade looked nothing short of incredible in the funky snaps, in which she took her ensemble from the stage to the parking lot.

As she strutted around in the dazzling snaps, she shielded most of her face with a chainmail bandana while also brandishing a baseball bat.

Jade has been keeping her 6.4 million fans entertained during lockdown with candid updates and videos and earlier this week, she was a sight to behold as she shared a snap of her permed hairdo on Instagram on Tuesday.

She looked effortlessly glamorous as she posed for the camera, showing off her curled, honey locks, which were taken from the video for the girls’ new single.

The post came after the official Little Mix fan account shared a snap of Jade meeting boyband JLS in 2008 – three years before she found fame with her bandmates on The X Factor.

Aged just 15, the then unknown singer is pictured posing for a shot with Marvin Humes, Aston Merrygold, Oritsé Williams and JB Gill.

Commenting, Jade wrote: ‘I don’t even know what to say about this dream of a photo. Except why am I matching?!and that I look like I’m about to replace JB.’
