Comedian Rove McManus goes for a morning jog with his dog in Sydney

Rove McManus braved the cloudy weather as he stepped out with his dog on Saturday.

The comedian, 46, cut a fit figure in a black activewear overshirt and grey t-shirt as he jogged alongside the loyal pooch.

He paired the simple ensemble with grey Under Armour shorts that showed off his muscular legs. 

He kept the sporty look going from head-to-toe with a black Nike cap and stayed functional in scuffed grey Nike shoes.

Rove may have been looking to enjoy some fresh air, as he and his wife, Tasma Walton, 46, appear to be approaching the final stages of their extensive renovations. 

They have been renovating their $6.4million Bronte mansion for two years, but hasn’t been smooth sailing for the pair. 

Last year, Rove spoke to the Herald Sun about how he juggles fatherhood with his various work commitments.

‘You can’t be as selfish with your time,’ he said. ‘It’s not just like calling your partner to say, “I’m going to be home late, I might skip dinner”. It’s a lot more impacting than that now.’  

The funnyman added that he still drops his six-year-old daughter off at school in the mornings and tries to be as ‘present’ as possible despite his workload. 

The three-time Gold Logie winner’s daughter is in kindergarten now, which means it’s important for Rove to spend weekends with her. 

Media personality Rove and actress Tasma Walton were married in 2009.    

Rove is best known as the host of long-running talk show Rove Live. He also runs the production company Roving Enterprises.
