Blast from the past! Hugh Jackman shares a throwback photo from his younger days… and claims he looked like ‘Eddie Munster’ with his sideburns

Hugh Jackman has changed a lot over the years.

The 51-year-old actor shared a throwback photo from his younger days on Instagram on Thursday. 

The black and white photo appeared to be an early headshot, with Hugh sporting spiky hair and sideburns.

He also shared a side-by-side comparison photo of himself and Eddie Munster from the 1960’s comedy series, The Munsters.

‘Eddie? Eddie Munster? #throwbackthursday,’ the multi-talented star hilariously captioned the post.

But fans weren’t as critical, commenting that his photo was ‘so cute’ and labelling him ‘very handsome’.

In an interview with Parade in October 2015, the renowned nice guy admitted he was ‘volatile’ in his younger days.

‘My mum left when I was eight. My anger didn’t really surface until I was 12 or 13,’ he confessed.

‘It was triggered because my parents were going to get reconciled and didn’t. All those years I’d been holding out hope that they would.’

He described it as the ‘perfect storm of hormones and emotion’, and said a lot of his ‘rage’ would come out while playing rugby at school.

‘From the moment Mum left, I was a fearful kid who felt powerless. I was the youngest,’ he added. 

‘I used to be the first one home and I was frightened to go inside. I couldn’t go into the house on my own. I’d wait outside, scared, frustrated… It limited me. I hated it, and that contributed to my anger.’
