Emmy-winning producer Olivia Wilde officially confirmed on Wednesday that she had cast Dakota Johnson to play a mystery role in Don’t Worry, Darling.

The 36-year-old filmmaker’s follow-up to her hit 2019 directorial debut, Booksmart, is centered on an isolated, utopian community in the California desert.

According to THR, New Line Cinemas ‘hopes to begin filming Darling as soon as coronavirus lockdown restrictions lift and it’s safe to do so.’

‘Maggie is so emotional and so open, but I didn’t want her to get totally blown over by the wind,’ the daughter of Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson explained to Marie Claire.

‘I think, especially for women, it’s such a hustle all the time. It’s a fight every day. Maggie’s vulnerable, but it never stops her from going for the thing that is the most important to her.’
