Jason Manford has discussed the difficulties of homeschooling amid lockdown. 

Appearing on Lorraine on Thursday morning, the funnyman, 38, revealed he is juggling homeschooling alongside his ex Catherine, and admitted that he has realised he is ‘thick’ given the difficulty of the workload. 

His chat comes after it was reported earlier this week that he has sold eight out of 10 of the properties in his £3million portfolio to help fund their divorce.

Jason has four children — twin daughters and a daughter and son — with Catherine and his youngest two, a girl and boy, with current wife Lucy Dyke. 

Speaking to Lorraine, he said: ‘I mean it’s alright, don’t get me wrong, I’ve got my wife here, my ex-wife has the kids for half a week, and I’ve got my friends who are teachers and sending stuff through and the schools have been great…

‘I didn’t realise how thick I was and then I started doing KS3 maths, and I didn’t even know what to Google the question. It’s been alright to be honest, and they help me write the questions for the quiz.’

Earlier this week, it was revealed that he has sold off his property portfolio to help pay off his 2017 divorce. The comedian built his 10-property empire after he snapped up a series of properties to let when he started landing big showbiz jobs.

He has reportedly made £3million after selling off at least eight of his properties – based largely in Greater Manchester. 

It has been claimed he has been freeing up his assets to ‘settle the bill for his 2017 legal split from his first wife’ after the pair separated in 2013. 

Companies House documents reveal that his holding company Invisible Man Ltd is being dissolved and its properties sold.

A report filed on the website, says: ‘The principal activity of the Company was that of a holding Company which held a portfolio of investment properties. 

‘The Company has reached the end of its useful life and it was appropriate to wind the Company up in the form of a Voluntary Liquidation.’ 

‘At the date of liquidation, the Company had ten properties, nine of those investment properties, at the date of this report, eight of these properties have been sold.’ 

The report also noted that £400,000 of the sales had been paid in tax.
