Lily Collins rocks a casual plaid shirt and distressed jeans as she and her boyfriend Charlie McDowell enjoy a walk with their dog

Lily Collins’ first priority was safety as she stepped out for a stroll with her boyfriend Charlie McDowell while wearing a white mask.

The 31-year-old daughter of Phil Collins opted for a casual look for her walk around Beverly Hills on Tuesday with the 36-year-old son of Malcolm McDowell.

She achieved a rugged look with a red and dark green plaid shirt with sleeves that nearly swallowed up her hands.

Low-key outing: Lily Collins, 31, wore a casual plaid shirt while out for a stroll Tuesday in Beverly Hills with her director boyfriend Charlie McDowell, 36, and their dog Redford

Lily wore a simple white shirt underneath the heavier top, and she paired them with distressed high-waisted jeans.

The 5ft5in Okja actress wore a set of white slip-ons and let her brunette tresses cascade down her back.

Charlie also stuck with a low-key look featuring a gray T-shirt and charcoal jeans with purple and orange New Balance trainers.

Also joining the couple for the walk was their adorable little rescue dog, whom the filmmaking couple appropriately named Redford.

The new family member arrived four months after the couple began dating in August 2019.

Charlie, who’s also the son of Mary Steenburgen, is best known for directing the mind-bending thriller–comedy The One I Love, starring Elisabeth Moss and Mark Duplass.

The film was a critical success, and he followed it up with the Netflix original movie The Discovery, starring Rooney Mara, Jason Segel and their dog’s namesake Robert Redford.

He’s currently looking to adapt Don DeLillo’s novel Zero K into an FX limited series to be produced by Fargo and Legion’s Noah Hawley and Scott Rudin.

Lily is coming off a high-profile 2019, which featured a lead performance in the chilling Netflix film Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil And Vile, in which she played the real-life girlfriend of serial killer Ted Bundy.

She also starred as the future wife of writer J. R. R. Tolkien in the commercial flop Tolkien.

Next up, she’ll play the title role in the Paramount Network’s upcoming dramedy series Emily In Paris, about a Midwestern girl who finds her American perspective valuable when she moves to Paris for a once-in-a-life job opportunity.
