Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Erika Jayne recently shared the first photo of her son Tommy Zizzo.
And the 48-year-old opened up even more about her 28-year-old son in an interview with Andy Cohen on his SiriusXM show Radio Andy, on Wednesday.
The reality TV star said ‘I am a proud mom, you know, of my essential worker son. He’s out there working like every other man and woman.’

Speaking of Tommy, who is a police officer, she said the photo of him in uniform has become her ‘best performing’ post among her 2m followers.
When asked by the host if she was feeling ‘extra protective’ of her son amid the coronavirus pandemic, she said ‘I think we all are. Listen, this is a crazy time. We’re all concerned for all of our families.’
Previously, Erika protected her son’s privacy while pursuing her singing, acting and reality television career.
‘He didn’t choose this life. I chose this life and we try to protect them.’ Speaking to Andy she said ‘I don’t care if he’s an adult and he carries a gun and a badge. At the end of the day. He’s still my boy.’

‘People say we look alike. No, you can’t comment.’ Erika captioned the image and turned off the comments function for the post.
Erika, real name Erika Girardi, was 20 when she had Tommy with ex-husband Thomas Zizzo. The couple split when Tommy was just a few years old.
Erika went on to marry attorney Thomas Girardi in 1999.
The blonde bombshell has previously said that Tommy has no interest in being on television and she respects his need for privacy.

She told Megyn Kelly in 2018: ‘Not everybody wants to be on TV, believe it or not.’
‘I know that sounds crazy,’ she continued. ‘But, he’s in a dangerous line of work and he prefers his anonymity as much as possible and I agree with that.’
In 2017 Erika revealed to Andy Cohen that Tommy still lives at home with her and husband Tom and she proudly talked about how she’s happy to have him home, especially as Tom is away on business a lot.
‘I actually love having my son there,’ she said. ‘He’s free security, okay? Free security and he never lets me forget it. But, you know, Tom’s very busy and travels all the time. I travel all the time, and my son is super busy.
‘So it’s nice. We have a really big house, so it’s nice to have him there.’

She continued, saying, ‘And it’s nice; listen, let me be very honest, I worry about my boy as I’m sure everyone whose family member is in law enforcement or in the military [is], okay? It’s nice to hear him come home. It’s nice to hear him come off duty and I can see his car in the driveway or I hear him walk up the steps. To me, I sleep a little better at night just knowing that I know where he is.’
Tommy graduated from the Los Angeles Police Academy in 2014 and previously was a former explorer at the Jersey City Police Activity League.
She told the Daily Dish in 2018 that her boy was always destined to become a police officer.
‘It’s a dangerous profession. I’ve known my son was going to be in law enforcement from the time he could walk and talk,’ she said. ‘That’s all he’s ever wanted and that’s kind of your role as parent is to honor who your children really are.’
