Real Housewives of New York’s Leah McSweeney talks sobriety after THAT wild Hamptons party

The breakout star of season 12 of the Real Housewives of New York is undoubtedly Leah McSweeney, whose introduction into the franchise has left viewers forgetting all about Bethenny Frankel.

Leah exclusively sat down with DailyMailTV from quarantine in her New York City apartment to talk about her ‘complicated’ relationship with alcohol and sobriety after the show recently aired footage from a wild Hamptons soiree.

Following nearly a decade of sobriety, Leah certainly turned some heads in episode four when she partook in drinking and stripped down to go skinny dipping with her co-stars.

Currently, the reality star is back in the Big Apple after spending some time in lockdown with her family.

‘I just decided to come back to the city. I missed it. And quite frankly, I just needed to come back to my own space,’ she said.

The adjustment has been a bit of a challenge and she admitted that, right now, she would love the distraction of dating to liven things up a bit.

‘Of course I can’t date right now during quarantine but it’d be nice to be doing some flirting,’ Leah laughed. ‘I don’t know. Maybe I need to get on a dating app.’

'You'll see it play out throughout the season,' she said of her drinking. 'You know, at some point we'll divulge more about where I'm at right now with it. I am going to open up about it at some point more than I have.'
