Lais Ribeiro has opened up about homeschooling her 11-year-old autistic son amid the coronavirus pandemic.

‘I do homework with him and let me tell you, it’s really hard. My mom, my grandma and my two other aunties are all teachers and I already knew their struggle, but now I feel like I’m in that position,’ Lais, 29, told People magazine in an article Monday.

The Victoria’s Secret Angel revealed that she’s been learning also alongside her son Alexandre.

‘My son is special needs and doesn’t learn the way the other kids learn, so it’s a different type of teaching. I’m also learning with him because I’m not American, so I’m interested in all American history and stuff. I’m not great at math so my fiancé helps him out with that,’ Lais said.

The Brazilian model was referencing NBA player Joakim Noah, 35, who she got engaged to last September after dating for a year.

Lais admitted that she sometimes ‘cheats’ when helping her son with his school lessons.

‘I help him with science and history, but sometimes I have to cheat and go on Google and see if I understand and can try to teach him somehow, or I send emails to his teachers. They help me a lot. I’m so grateful for them,’ she said.

The top model lives in New York City but decided to quarantine in Los Angeles where Joakim lives.

She flew out in mid-March with her son, mother and sister and said the flight was ‘packed with people leaving New York for L.A.’

Lais said she’s been enjoying spending more time with her son and has learned how to cook from her mother and sister.

‘I clean the house all the time – the house cleaning never ends,’ Lais said.

Lais became a Victoria’s Secret Angel in 2015.

The Los Angeles Clippers in March signed free-agent center Joakim to a contract.
