How Daniel MacPherson and Zoë Ventoura kept her pregnancy and the birth of their baby a secret

They managed to keep their new role as parents a secret for months. 

But after finally confirming baby rumours this weekend, Dan MacPherson, 40, and his wife Zoë Ventoura, 39, no longer have reason to hide their bundle of joy.     

The extremely private couple chose neither to announce Zoë’s pregnancy, nor the fact that she had given birth last year. 

Instead, they chose to celebrate the happy news with their close friends and family. 

Zoë also went to great lengths to hide her pregnancy on-set while filming Home And Away, hiding her bump with strategically-placed handbags and flowing outfits.    

However, on Sunday, she and Dan finally confirmed that they had welcomed a child together in secret. 

‘I am very happy to confirm that Zoë and Dan welcomed a baby boy in December last year,’ a spokesperson for the new parents told The Herald Sun. 

‘Austin Xavier arrived healthy and smiling. Mum, dad and baby are all happy and well,’ they added.

On the same day, Zoë was spotted pushing her newborn in his stroller near her home in Sydney. 

The brunette dressed for comfort in a grey hoodie, black sports leggings and black runners. 

She tied her hair in a low ponytail and shaded her famous visage behind aviator sunglasses and a baseball cap. 

Last year, the star told WHO magazine last year that she prefers to keep her personal life out of the spotlight. 

‘[In] terms of my privacy, it’s something I have been very protective about from the start. It’s just always felt like it needs to be protected as much as possible to keep a sense of normalcy,’ she explained.
