The Body Coach Joe Wicks’ model wife Rosie is the ‘hottest substitute teacher ever’

A recent accident meant Joe Wicks had good company on Monday morning as model wife Rosie stepped in to help the injured fitness guru with his daily exercise sessions. 

The self-styled Body Coach initially underwent minor surgery for his injured hand in late March, days after launching his hugely popular daily P.E lessons and had been seen sporting a cast in the classes ever since.

But after spending a weekend in hospital, model wife Rosie, 29, joined her husband for the hugely popular classes, launched to keep the nation healthy during lockdown. 

Assistance: A recent accident meant Joe Wicks had good company on Monday morning as wife Rosie Jones stepped in to help the injured fitness guru with his daily exercise sessions.

Kicking things off, Joe, 33, admitted the class was busier than usual, with the video receiving an incredible 207,749 live streams before Rosie had even made her first appearance. 

‘It’s going to be the biggest one!’ He announced after telling fans his doctor had given him strict instructions to avoid physical exercise while his wrist healed. 

‘On Friday I went to the hospital and I was in so much pain I spent the weekend on hospital,’ he added.  ‘I was on morphine on Saturday and I texted my wife and said I don’t think I can do this workout. I was really upset and she said I’ll help you.’

Sporting a two-piece suit and dress shoes, the personal trainer proceeded to supervise his wife through his usual blend of intense, high-energy exercise routines. 

With squats, burpees, sit-ups and mountain climbers forming the bulk of Monday’s workout, Rosie admitted she was working up quite a sweat while following his guidelines. 

Injecting an element of fun into the session, Joe included is regular geography based game of general knowledge for the benefit of his fans.   

He later admitted Rosie, with whom he raises two children, would be back on Tuesday to help as he continues his recovery.

The video comes after Joe revealed he has raised £200,000 for the National Health Service through his daily workouts, and aimed to double that figure before lockdown came to an end. 

He also admitted Monday’s workout would not have gone ahead were it not for his wife’s help.  

Speaking shortly before his live workout on Mondays edition of Lorraine, he explained: ‘I broke my wrist, so I spent the weekend in hospital with morphine an codeine. I said I needed help from Rosie and so she’s here.’  

Reflecting on her decision to help Joe while he recovers from his injury, Rosie insisted he would still be playing an active part in the online class. 

She said: ‘I want to make it clear I’m not taking his place, I’m demonstrating exercises. He’s going to be taking the class and I’m just doing whatever he tells me to do.’

Joe added: ‘I’m really proud of her, she’s really out of her comfort zone. She’s not done anything like this before, so to do a live workout to probably millions of people.

‘I’m so proud and I love you so much for it, darling, so thank you so much.’

Joe also admitted fans were in for a treat with their latest session, but insisted his own involvement would be restricted. 

‘Today’s workout is going to be fun,’ he said. ‘This is a proper open one because I can’t do anything, the doctors won’t let me.’
