Noel Gallagher breaks COVID-19 lockdown rules as he flits between London pad AND Hampshire home

On March 23rd, the Government issued instructions stating people should not visit second homes ‘for isolation purposes or holidays,’ in a bit to stem the spread of coronavirus.

But Noel Gallagher broke the COVID-19 lockdown rules as he was spotted on a bike ride near his rural Hampshire home on April 8th, AND with shopping outside his London pad on April 24th.

It’s not yet known why the former Oasis star, 52, felt he needed to travel 75 miles from his country pile to his London property amid the nationwide lockdown.

Rule breaker! Noel Gallagher, 52, broke the COVID-19 lockdown rules as he was spotted on a bike ride near his Berkshire home on April 8th, AND outside his London pad on April 24th

Noel was spotted getting his daily exercise as he went out cycling on his bike in the English Countryside close to his £8 million Hampshire mansion, on April 8th.

The star has made no secret of the fact he loves going out and about on his bike during the lockdown, using the time as his one chance to leave the house.

But two weeks later, on April 24th, Noel – who is married to Sara MacDonald, 48, was seen leaving his luxury London townhouse in Little Venice, holding a bag of Lidl shopping.

It’s not yet known why he felt the need to travel 75 miles from the country pile, which he bought in May 2019, to his London property.

A source told The Sun: ‘Noel has said in interviews he likes to get out on his bike, and he’s been seen doing that near his home.

‘I was surprised when he popped up back in London after seeing him though.’

Either way, it appears he has broken lockdown rules by flitting between his rural abode to his city pad.

The musician purchased seven-bed countryside retreat near Petersfield amid reports he and Sara wanted to send sons Donovan, 12 and Sonny, 9, to private school close by.

Last month, Noel ignored orders not to panic buy as he admitted he had stockpiled alcohol to help him through Britain’s ongoing coronavirus lockdown.

While people have been encouraged not to stockpile items like food and toilet paper to ensure there is enough for everyone, Noel admitted he has been susceptible to panic buying.

Talking on the Funny How? podcast, Noel said: ‘I’ve been panic buying booze. Now that the pubs are shut the only thing to do now is to drink your way through it.

‘If you don’t leave the house you’ll be OK. I don’t see anybody anyway, I ride my bike where I live and you get the odd car on the road but I don’t stop to talk to anybody.

‘I can easily shut the door and stay in. We’re out of London, so well away from the mad house, we’re alright.

‘I live 75 miles outside of London now, so it’s different out here, I was in the supermarket because I wanted to see the bare shelves.

‘I was in there because I thought, ‘I’ll get a load of booze’. And all that was there was a load of gluten-free Peroni. All the beers were gone!’

It comes after Noel told how he often comes close to agreeing to an Oasis reunion with estranged brother Liam, but realised he would be doing it for the wrong reasons.

While he regularly considers reuniting the iconic band, Noel admitted he would only be doing it to silence his famously outspoken frontman brother, 47 – who he has been estranged from since 2009.

He told British Vogue: ‘I’ve often thought ‘Lets just do a gig’.’ ‘But I realised I would only be doing it to shut this f***ing idiot up.

‘The only other thing I could come up with was burning his house down or smashing his car in…but that’s not going to solve anything is it?’
