Simon Cowell has reportedly been granted permission to revamp his £15million mansion in south-west London.
The music mogul, 60, who purchased the house in October 2018, is said to have been given the go-ahead from the council to transform his seven-bedroom property into a home that meets the ‘modern requirements of the family’.
Sources claim the X Factor boss’ requests include a 15-metre outdoor pool, an extended sunroom and state-of-the-art security after his Holland Park abode was broken into nearly five years ago.

According to The Sun, the media personality is adding a pool house, a bar, three new vehicle gates, a pergola and a ‘glazed conservation lantern roof’ to his existing conservatory for optimum sunshine ‘throughout the year in a private position’.
As well as the new features, Simon, who moved into his house last year, will be able to control the temperature in the 18th century home at ease with underfloor heating and air conditioning.
The publication also alleges that the talent manager will beef up security at his home by upgrading the current lighting and camera system, after serial burglar Darren February carried out a £1million raid at his old home in December 2015.

Earlier this year, it was claimed that the TV tough guy relocated to Wimbledon to be closer to his six-year-old son Eric’s school.
However, a spokesperson for Simon told MailOnline: ‘Simon and Lauren chose to move because they really like the area – there’s been no decision made yet on schools.’
Simon is also said to be planning to chop down eight trees at his mansion just weeks after fronting an eco-drive urging people to plant more.
The tycoon sought to burnish his green credentials in December 2019 by banging the drum for more trees, hailing them as ‘vitally important’.
However, Simon opened himself up to accusations of hypocrisy after seeking permission to take an axe to eight trunks in his own garden – a conservation area.
He lodged a request to Merton Council to fell a horse chestnut, quercus ilex, hornbeam and five magnolia grandiflora shrubs.
The revelation could be seen to undermine the photoshoot he did in November where he planted a Rowan shrub in his garden as part of a Daily Mirror environmentalist campaign.
His old home is thought to be going on the market – which means he’ll leave behind neighbours such as Elton John and The Beckhams. The record executive has owned properties in London, Beverly Hills, Miami and Barbados.
