The Weight Watchers advocate, 43, admitted she has also put on ‘a few kilos’ while in isolation, and urged people to not ‘beat yourself up’ over it.

‘I wanted to share or confess something to you all. I have put on a few kilos in this lockdown,’ Sam told her Instagram followers on Thursday.

‘I am not proud of that, but I rang the girls at the WW [Weight Watchers] office and they said “Sam, please share that because it’s happening to the best of us”.

‘I know we’re all spending lots of time stuck in doors and have spent a bit too much time staring into the fridge and its not an easy time, but don’t beat yourself too much if you, like me, have eaten a little bit too much cheese or whatever your vice is.’

Sam went on to explain she planned to address her weight and get her goals back in focus.

‘Hang in there, I’m not going to torture myself about this,’ Sam said.

‘I’m just going to wrangle it back and get back on track. So I just wanted to let you all know it’s okay, keep going.’

It wasn’t the first motivational message Sam has shared amid the coronavirus pandemic, having encouraged fans to be ‘kind to yourselves’ about their bodies at the start of the month.

She said at the time: ‘I know the program is probably going a little bit out the window at the moment and it’s getting harder and harder.

‘It’s a really good time just to nurture yourself, take care of yourself, be kind to yourself if you fall off the wagon because carbs are so good right now!

She went on: ‘Be kind, try and stay out of the fridge as much as you can – I know that’s impossible.

‘But I’m thinking of you all, take it easy on yourselves and hopefully I’ll be back at work soon. I’ll see you then.’
