Gogglebox Australia’s Isabelle Silbery reveals she is self-isolating with a man she started dating

Gogglebox star Isabelle Silbery confirmed she split from her boyfriend Luke Gordon in December after less than one year of dating.

But on Tuesday, the mother-of-one, 34, revealed that she’s moved on with a new man named Alex and the pair are self-isolating together at her home in Melbourne.

Speaking to The Advertiser, she said: ‘I was seeing a guy pre-coronavirus and things were developing well so we have decided to self-isolate together at my house.’

‘It’s a bit of a social experiment but we are really looking after each other during this anxious time. Things are going well so far.’

Isabelle also shared a photo of herself and her new man on Instagram and explained the challenges of dating during COVID-19.

‘My COVID-buddy and I. Dating in the time of coronavirus is proving tricky… It’s been a weird but fascinating time which is forcing us to find new creative ways to connect with each other,’ she wrote.

In January, Isabelle penned a lengthy Instagram post revealing that she and Luke had broken up before Christmas.

‘I don’t want to go into details but it’s enough to say that we both love each other, but now my little boy and I are adjusting to this new normal,’ she said.

‘Letting him go has hit me hard. It’s easy, in a break-up, to project a lot of stuff on to the other person but actually, I’ve realised that this is an invitation to understand myself better.’

She finished by saying that grief ‘forces learning’ and wanted people to know they’re  not alone.

The couple started dating early last year.

Isabelle separated from her husband-of-five years, Craig Silbery, in 2017 and she had previously described their marriage as ‘loveless’.
