Alison Hammond gives This Morning fans a tour of her Birmingham home with a TV mementos wall and white dining table (but an interior designer isn’t impressed!)
Alison Hammond gave This Morning viewers of glimpse of her new Birmingham home where she is holed up during the coronavirus lockdown.
The presenter appeared live from her living room which boasts a wall covered with her mementos of her TV career, a sleek white dining table and large mirrors, to get some expertise from interior designer Kelly Hoppen.
Sadly it seemed that Kelly wasn’t too impressed with the way Alison organised the room, quickly suggesting she needed to turn around the dining table and move her mirror to a different wall.

During the tour Alison guided viewers around her new home, with an enormous sofa and TV in what she described as ‘the comfy area.’
Along with a large kitchen and dining area, Alison has one wall decorated with achievements from her television career.
The star also has a white dining table with blue chairs, and a large mirror surrounded by twinkling lights.

Expertise: Interior designer Kelly Hoppen was quick to offer suggestions on how Alison should rearrange the room
Asking Kelly for her expertise, she was quick to suggest she rotate the table so it’s placed vertically.
Rather than wait till the segment was over, Alison quickly started following Kelly’s advice in turning the table sparking giggles from hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby.
A laughing Kelly added: ‘I didn’t expect you to actually do it. That makes the table look better already, put a nice bunch of flowers on.
‘Move the mirror because it’s the wrong size. You want a bigger picture over there. So move that over there and put some pictures either side.’

Moving into the kitchen, Kelly told Alison she needed to find some form of decoration to fill the bare worktops.
She explained: ‘Where your work top is, maybe put something there. Because when you sit on the sofa you want to look at something. So maybe put some vases, some fruit or something.’
Alison eagerly obliged, grabbing a bowl of fruit and a giant basked embroidered with the letters F and D and plonking them on the worktop.
